The St. Vrain Valley Community Watchdogs is a community, non-profit environmental organization. The Watchdogs came together to protect our environmental heritage and improve the quality of life and health for the residents living in and around the St. Vrain Valley, Boulder County, CO.

There are still significant challenges facing us. CEMEX intends to burn tires, and yet another industrial giant, Lafarge, intends to conduct open-pit mining operations in the beautiful St. Vrain Valley.

- Protect fauna and flora.
- Preserve the peaceful ambience of the region, the aesthetics and the recreational, geological, and ecological treasures of the St. Vrain Valley.

- Develop a broad base of community interest, skills, support, and participation.
- Sponsor educational activities to create a greater understanding of environmental issues in this community.
- Watchdog sources of pollution and any environmental threat that could endanger our community and degrade our way of life.
