EPA Investigation against Cemex Cement, Inc. and a MARCH FOR CLEAN AIR
<br><br>
Please join your friends and neighbors in a show of support for our<br>
County, State and Federal governments’ efforts to bring CEMEX-LYONS into<br>
compliance with our Clean Air laws.<br>

On Saturday July 12, 2008 Mother Against Burning Tires, Friends of the St.<br>
Vrain, St. Vrain Valley Watchdogs, Rocky Mountain Clean Air Action and<br>
Colorado Citizens’ Campaign are MARCHING FOR CLEAN AIR in response to the<br>
most recent Notice of Violation issued by the Colorado AQCC against<br>
CEMEX-Lyons.
<br><br>
Since 2000, CEMEX has been cited by the State of Colorado six times for<br>
violating clean air laws.  This latest NOV comes on the heels of an EPA<br>
investigation into the plants failure to install best air pollution<br>
controls and new AQCC rules that will require CEMEX to install emission<br>
controls equipment to reduce NOX emissions.

The march begins in the Stone Cup Café parking lot at 2:30pm and ends at<br>
the CEMEX-Lyons plant (2.3 miles) where CEMEX will be issued a Citizens’<br>
Notice of Violation outlining the company’s pay-and-pollute business<br>
practices and its detrimental impact on our community.
