Task Force Vacancies
The Boulder County Board of Health is now accepting applications for positions in a volunteer advisory capacity on the Northern Boulder County Environmental Health Community Task Force. The board is seeking eleven 2-year terms, comprised of members of the community, special interest groups, industry, and government.
The purpose of this task force is to convene a group of stakeholders who are able to work collaboratively toward a common goal of improving the health and environment of the St. Vrain Valley through non-regulatory, voluntary strategies that are within the established mission of the Boulder County Health Department, Environmental Health Program. The board is seeking members with experience and expertise in any of the following areas: air quality and air quality modeling, solid and hazardous waste, toxicology, industrial hygiene, ecology, cement manufacturing, gravel mining, water quality, and environmental law. The board is also seeking members who have strong interpersonal skills and can work collaboratively with industry and government on resolutions for improving the health and environment of northern Boulder County.
The task force will be appointed by the Board of Health to advise Boulder County Health Department on environmental concerns and subsequent policy development. Members will serve a two-year term renewable upon review at the end of the two-year period.
